Prior to that, he worked at Citi in New York in Investment Banking within the Mergers &amp; Acquisitions and EAF groups. At Citi in Colombia, he served as Vice President of Investment Banking. Luis Carlos received the Global \u201cBusiness Senior Credit Officer\u201d distinction from Citi which allowed him to approve material risk transactions worldwide. Before joining Citi, he worked as Investment Banking Manager at Bancolombia (formerly Corfinsura) among other roles in banking. He has also been a University Professor of Financial Mathematics, Project Evaluation and Investment Banking at EAFIT University, among others. At the Board level, he served as Chairman of The Bahamas Banking Association; etc.<\/p>\n<p>Among the most significant investment banking transactions in which he has participated are the USD 1.2 Billion Valuation &amp; Merger of Almacenes \u00c9xito &amp; Cadenalco (largest Colombian retailers), the Transmilenio (Bogot\u00e1) &amp; MIO (Cali) Massive Transportation Systems, the Nassau International Airport (Bahamas) which was awarded \u201cGlobal Deal of the Year 2009\u201d, Tocumen Airport, the Panama Metro, the Valuation, Privatization &amp; Sale of Batelco to Cable &amp; Wireless; the USD 250 Million Syndicated Loan for the Republic of Colombia with a CAF guarantee; among many others.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Luis Carlos founded Valoriza Group, a leading Investment Banking Firm in Colombia &amp; the Latin American region with clients in 14 countries and USD 1.4 Billion+ in closed transactions.
