Luis Carlos is the Founder & Managing Partner of Valoriza Group. He has been working in the Banking Industry for over 30 years of which he worked two decades for CITIBANK (Citi) at places like New York, The Bahamas, Panama and Colombia. He had multiple roles within Citi like being the Director of the Public Sector Group for Latin America with emphasis on Investment Banking & Corporate Finance. He managed the Financial Institutions Business for Central America, the Caribbean & Ecuador and served as the Corporate & Investment Banking Head in Panama. He was also Country Business Head for several Caribbean countries. Prior to this, he worked with Citi in New York, in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions and Export Agency Financing. In Citi Colombia he worked as Resident Vice President of Investment Banking. Before joining Citi, he worked as Investment Banking Manager in Bancolombia (formerly Corfinsura), among other roles in Banking & the Academy. Luis Carlos received the global distinction known as “Business Senior Credit Officer” from Citi. This allowed him to approve transactions with material risk worldwide. He has also been a University Professor of Financial Mathematics, Investment Banking and Project Finance at EAFIT University, among others. Regarding his participation in Boards of Directors, he was the Chairman of the Banking Association of The Bahamas, etc. Among the most relevant investment banking transactions in which he has participated are the USD1.2Billion Valuation & Merger of Almacenes Éxito & Cadenalco, the Massive Transportation Systems of Bogotá (Transmilenio) and Cali (MIO), the privatization & expansions of the Nassau Airport (Bahamas) – Global Deal of The Year 2009 and Tocumen, Panama Metro, the Valuation, Privatization & Sell of Batelco to Cable & Wireless and the USD250MM Syndicated Loan for the Republic of Colombia with a CAF guarantee. In the year 2018 he founded Valoriza Group, a leading Investment Banking Firm in Colombia and the region, with clients in 13 countries and closed transaction beyond the USD1.0Billion+. Juan Carlos is a Partner at Valoriza Group and has worked for over 20 years in different companies in the real sector and across multiple business such as aviation, healthcare, public companies, manufacturing and consumer goods companies, among others. He has served as the Financial Planning Manager for Avianca, Sam and Aces (Alianza Summa); Financial Manager for Aires; Planning and Inspection Manager for Tennis; Head of Financial Programming for Empresas Públicas de Medellin (EPM) and Finance and Administration Manager for Instituto Corbic. His tenure across these companies has focused on strengthening the information systems and rigorous financial analysis of significant projects such as Ituango’s Hydroelectric Power Station and the financial restructuring of Avianca, Sam and Aces. From 2014 until 2017, Juan Carlos worked as Financial Consultant specializing in the implementation of Financial Planning tools such as value analysis, budgeting, cost analysis, financial forecast, valuations, business assessment, dashboards, financial indicators and risks, etc; for clients such as Seguratec, Cerramientos Arquitectónicos, Arquimuebles, Aerofumigaciones Calima, La Paris, Lemur 700, B-Guest, 24/7 By Paola Turbay (Vivelab), Industrias Menal, Internacional Ejecutiva de Aviación, Inducascos, Forestry Consulting Group, Euno Consulting, Amobla and Laboratorios Peña. Andrea is a Financial Engineer from the EIA University, in which she was part of the administrative team of the student tutoring center and participated in multiple financial research incubators and competitions.  

Juan Santiago is an Investment Banking Analyst at Valoriza Group. He started his professional career as a Logistics intern at Bavaria S.A. He has participated in multiple corporate finance and trading seminars. Santiago is a professional in Finance from EAFIT University.  

María Antonia is an Investment Banking Analyst at Valoriza Group. She worked as an Intern Analyst at Bancolombia’s Leasing. María Antonia is currently a student of International Business at EAFIT University, with emphasis on Finance, where she also was an Administrative Monitor.

Laura is an Investment Banking Analyst at Valoriza Group. She completed her professional internship in the Investment area at Valores Bancolombia. Laura holds a degree in International Business with emphasis in Finance from Universidad EAFIT, where she was also a monitor of Corporate Finance.

Alejandro is an Investment Banking Analyst at Valoriza Group. He holds a degree in Finance with a focus on Corporate Finance from Universidad EAFIT, where he served as an Academic Assistant for various subjects and worked as a Data Analyst at CrediCorp Capital.
